Challenge Another Player
Head-to-head battles are set up with an invite link. One player picks a monster and generates the link; the other opens the link, picks their monster, and accepts. The fight then starts for both players. This tutorial covers both sides of that handshake.
Open Fight Setup
Head to Fight Setup from the main menu. You'll see two modes — AI opponent for a quick solo fight, and Player vs. Player for a match against someone else. Choose Player vs. Player.
Pick your monster and generate the invite
Select which of your monsters will fight. You can only pick one per match. Then tap Generate Invite. The server creates an invite record and hands back a shareable link.
Share the invite link
The generated screen shows your invite link and a Copy button. Send the link to your opponent via whatever you normally use to talk. The link works as long as the invite is open — you can close this page and come back later, the link stays valid.
Your opponent accepts
When your opponent opens the link, they land on an accept screen that shows your chosen monster and prompts them to pick their own. After they select a fighter and tap Accept, the invite is matched. Both monsters are now locked in.
Start the fight
As soon as the invite is accepted, both players are moved into the combat scene. The turn-based flow is the same as any other battle — pick an ability category, pick an action, watch the narration, repeat. The Battle tutorial covers combat mechanics in detail.
Troubleshooting
The invite link isn't loading for my opponent.
Make sure they copied the full URL, including any query
parameters after the ?. If it still fails, regenerate
a fresh invite and resend the new link.
Can I cancel an invite?
Yes. From Fight Setup you can see your open invites and cancel any that have not yet been accepted. An accepted invite has already become a battle — if you want out, forfeit from the combat screen instead.
Can the same monster have more than one invite open?
No. One open invite per monster. Cancel the existing invite before creating a new one for the same fighter.
My opponent accepted, but I'm not in a battle.
Refresh the page and check Active Combats — the new match will be at the top. The transition is automatic most of the time, but a slow network can sometimes delay it.
